Anyone may join the project, even if they do not yet have the skills. New people are welcomed and taught at whatever pace is comfortable for them. We try to help them make products which can earn them an income as quickly as possible.
We use only the best quality materials we can source. We knit with 100%, hand dyed cotton yarn. The fabric we use is as natural as possible.
We have different circumstances. Some of us are old, some have children, some have second jobs. There is no set quota of work that needs to be done and we understand when someone needs to work less for a while to support other things.
Handmade products are made with extra care and love and we pride ourselves in each item we produce, making sure the finishes are strong and tidy.
This is how we calculate our price: Cost of materials + what the crafter receives for making the product + a small % for a fund from which we pay for electricity, servicing of machines and replacement of tools like blunted knitting needles.
